The 29:11 Project

The 29:11 Project, founded by Adalyia Parker, has its roots in a childhood marked by housing insecurity. Adalyia and her family spent a summer moving between family members' homes and ended up in a LaQuinta Inn in Knoxville, TN. The turning point came when a dear family friend decorated bedrooms for Adalyia and her siblings in their new home. Each room was a reflection of the children's desires.

In 2020, Adalyia had a series of dreams that transported her back to her childhood bedroom, where countless cherished memories were made. Inspired by these dreams, she decided to channel her experiences into a force for good.

Jeremiah 29:11's words, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you, not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future," guide the mission of The 29:11 Project.

We aim to create "Rooms of Hope" by providing fully furnished bedrooms for children in families impacted by housing insecurity. These rooms serve as beacons of hope and a reminder that, even in difficult times, hope and a brighter future are always attainable.

As families secure more permanent housing, The 29:11 Project steps in to provide fully furnished bedrooms for their children. Based in Memphis, TN, we're also expanding nationally by collaborating with organizations, our Partners in Hope, who share our commitment to supporting families impacted by housing insecurity.

We firmly believe that changing the world starts at home, and hope is the cornerstone. Without hope for a brighter future, the journey from mere survival to thriving becomes arduous.
